My favorite inerrptetation, which also seems natural, is that she has gotten this idiot to fight the dragon, just like she planned, and now she is getting the hell out of dodge to attend to other matters. Still a bit sketchy; that just makes her the stereotype of the untrustworthy femme fatale. A step up from cowering, however.
